In the afternoon, before sunset, I saw visitors sitting at a grilled fish cafe, watching the sunset while enjoying their grilled seafood dinner.

You can also buy fresh fish in the Kedonganan Fish Market area, then you take the fish to one of the grilled fish cafes on Kelan beach and ask them to grill and season the fresh fish you bought. Kelan beach is close to Kedonganan fish market, about a 5-minute walk.

Beach Sands & Visitor Activities

The Kelan beach coastline parallels Kedonganan beach and Jimbaran beach, so the texture of the beach’s white sand is very similar to Jimbaran beach.

On the south side of the Kelan coastline is Kedonganan beach. The color of the beach is yellowish-white sand, and the coastline is not too expansive. You will see many fishing boats anchored on the beach on this coastline.

Kelan beach waves are not too big and are very similar to the waves at Jimbaran beach Bali. In addition, Kelan coastal waters are not too deep. I saw many visitors swimming and soaking in the area near the abrasion barrier made of concrete.

There are several swings on the edge of Kelan beach; to be precise, the swing is in front of the grilled seafood cafe. Usually, this swing will be a bone of contention for children.

In addition to swimming and playing with swings, I also saw visitors taking a stroll on the beach, walking alone, and traveling with their partners.

The Garuda Wisnu Kencana statue stands tall on the Jimbaran hill, and you can see it from the shoreline. Because the coastline faces the west side, visitors will see the sunset view from the Kelan coastline in the afternoon.
