The 10-minute and around 20-minute durations refer to diving time in the water, not the total time required for the activity.
The full process also includes check-in, a safety briefing, equipment preparation, and the speed boat trip to the diving area.
The instructor may repeat the briefing if necessary to make sure participants understand the safety instructions. Total time can therefore vary.
Timing may also change because of weather, sea conditions, operator queues, sea traffic, or on-site safety decisions.

Participant Requirements
The same participant requirements apply to both duration options.
- Swimming ability is required. Participants who cannot swim cannot join this activity.
- Insurance age range: 8–65 years.
- Practical participation age for children: usually from around 10 years old.
- A child’s eligibility depends on age, body size, equipment fit, ability to understand and follow instructions, and the operator’s assessment.
- Insurance coverage from age 8 does not automatically mean every 8-year-old child can participate.
- All participants must follow the safety briefing and the instructor’s directions.
If you are booking for a child, provide the child’s age before booking so suitability can be confirmed.
Health Requirements
Every participant must complete and sign the operator’s participation and health declaration before joining the activity.
Participants cannot join if they are pregnant or have any of the following conditions listed in the operator’s declaration:
- A history of heart disease
- Respiratory disorders or breathing difficulties, including asthma
- Epilepsy
- Neurological problems
