Ida Bagus Gede Yadnya, who won the architectural design competition for the memorial in 1981. Ir. Ida Bagus Gede Yadnya architectural design has a potent symbol of the Republic of Indonesia independence day which is on 17 August 1945. Symbolise with 17 entrance gate design, eight main pillars, and 45 meters monument height.
Bajra Sandhi Renon Denpasar Monument, the construction development, began in 1981. However, the building process stopped and continued in 1987. The Bajra Sandhi Monument Denpasar inauguration done by the President Megawati Soekarno Putri, on June 14, 2013. On the third floor of the monument building, there is a large room and surrounded by glass windows. From this third floor building, you can see a 360-degree view of Denpasar city and its surroundings. Surely you will not see skyscrapers in Denpasar because the government regulations ban building with higher than 30 meters.

If you are coming from the Sanur area, it only takes 15 minutes with 2,5-kilometer distance. However, if you are coming from Kuta beach area, then it will take 50 minutes by cars and with 15 kilometers distance.
