09/11/2020 by Wayan Suadnyana Category: Beaches & IslandsTag: Klungkung, Nusa Penida, Outdoors, White Sands Beach

Nusa Penida Island has become one of Bali’s most popular tourist destinations, both for international travelers and domestic tourists. Nusa Penida island’s main attraction lies in the natural scenic beauty, especially the beach scene appeal. For your information, Nusa Penida Island offers many white sand beach attractions. One of them is the Pasih Uug, aka Broken Beach Nusa Penida. The Broken Beach Nusa Penida, for me, is one of the unique natural attractions. Therefore, I can recommend Broken Beach as one of the tourist attractions on the Nusa Penida island that you must visit.

Bahasa Indonesia, ”Panduan Liburan Ke Pasih Uug Nusa Penida” >>>

The name Pasih Uug (Balinese language), when translated into English, means Broken beach. Therefore, international tourists call Pasih Uug as Broken Beach Nusa Penida.

Why Is It Called Broken Beach?

This beach calls Broken Beach because there is a large hole in the bay wall that enables seawater to rush in and out of the bay wall. This hollow wall of the bay is due to the abrasion of the bay wall for decades. Due to the bay wall perforated by abrasion, local people gave it the name Pasih Uug, aka Broken Beach.

Suppose you want to visit Broken Beach Nusa Penida Bali; therefore, I will provide a vacation guide and everything I know about Pasih Uug Nusa Penida on this page. The following is a vacation guide and all the things you need to know before a vacation to Pasih Uug Nusa Penida.

How Do I Get From Bali Island To Broken Beach?

If you want to have a holiday at Pasih Uug Nusa Penida, the chances are that you will ask about this! How do I get from Bali island to Broken Beach, Nusa Penida?

Before you go to the Pasih Uug Nusa Penida, you must first know how to get to Nusa Penida from Bali’s island. The sea separates the Bali island and the Nusa Penida island.

If you already know how to get to Nusa Penida from Bali’s island, please continue reading the next paragraph. However, if you don’t understand how to get to Nusa Penida from Bali’s island, please click the link!

The Pasih Uug Nusa Penida location is on the west side of the Nusa Penida island. Also, the site is close to the Angel Billabong beach Nusa Penida. To make it easier for you to find the location of Broken Beach Nusa Penida, please use the Google Map.

If you depart from Sanur beach Bali by onboard a fast boat, you will most likely arrive at the Sampalan port or Toya Pakeh Port. From the Toya Pakeh port of Nusa Penida to the Broken Beach location, it will take approximately 50 minutes’ drive.

Transportation Choices

For getting around Nusa Penida island, you can use a scooter or car. The price of a scooter rental in Nusa Penida is around IDR 70,000 / 24 hours, including fuel. Apart from motorbikes, you can also rent a car with a driver for a getting around Nusa Penida island.

Suppose you want comfort and don’t want to get exposed to the hot sun. It’s a good idea to get a car rental service with a driver for vacation transportation to Nusa Penida.

The Nusa Penida car rental price includes driver and fuel, approximately IDR 500,000 / 10 hours. Almost the same as the price of renting a car with a driver in Bali. With a car rental duration of 10 hours, you can have a Nusa Penida tour, especially attraction on the west side. The tour itinerary usually visits Angel’s Billabong, Broken Beach, Kelingking Beach, and Crystal Bay.

Things You Will Find While On Vacation To Broken Beach Nusa Penida

The quality of road infrastructure on the Nusa Penida island has improved in line with tourism development. However, there are still some roads that have not received improvement. So in some areas, you will find a lot of dirt and bumpy roads. Therefore, if you are not good at riding a scooter on dirt roads, it is a good idea to use a car rental service with drivers in Nusa Penida.

Broken Beach Nusa Penida Entrance Fee

Upon arrival at the vehicle parking location, you will pay IDR 5,000 for vehicle parking fees. There is no entrance expense when entering the Angel’s Billabong and Broken Beach Nusa Penida tourist area.

Walk Towards Broken Beach

Two roads are leading to Pasih Uug Nusa Penida. You can go directly to the Broken Beach Nusa Penida spot by going through a dirt road. Or take a concrete road to Angel’s Billabong, then head to Pasih Uug Nusa Penida.

When you arrive at the vehicle parking location, all you have to do is walk and follow the directions. If you park your vehicle near Warung Angel Billabong, you will descend some rocky steps and a path. It needs around 5 minutes to get to the Angel Billabong location from the vehicle parking location.

After you enjoy the view of Angel’s Billabong, you will go to the Broken Beach section by walking for about 5 minutes.

I prefer going through Angel’s Billabong because you will pass a trail with a beautiful view on the way to Broken Beach from Angel’s Billabong. Also, you only need to walk for about five minutes through the footpath.

The Beauty of The Broken Beach Nusa Penida Bali

When you arrive at the cliff edge location of Broken Beach, you will see a very unique and beautiful bay view. The cliff is in the form of a relatively large circle. On one of the peaks, there is a wall that has a large hole.

You will see seawater in and out of the circular cliff area of Broken Beach from this wall hole. In the Broken Beach area, there is a coastline with white sand. However, there is currently no access road down to the beach.

Most tourists who have a vacation to the Pasih Uug in Nusa Penida will walk around the broken beach’s circular cliff. The time it will take you to circle the ridge once around is approximately 10 minutes. However, you have to be careful when you surround the broken beach cliffs of Nusa Penida. Because currently, there is no guardrail on the edge of the cliff.

When visiting the Pasih Uug tourist attraction, you will not find beach holiday activities such as swimming or snorkeling such as the Tanjung Benoa beach Bali watersports. However, the scenic beauty of Pasih Uug makes many tourists interested in visiting. The impression I got while on vacation to Broken Beach Nusa Penida Bali was a unique and beautiful impression.
